Houthi-Saleh militias abduct journalist’s brother

The militias of Houthis and ousted president Ali Saleh have kidnapped a person whose brother is working for the Istanbul-based channel of Belqees TV Wadi’a Atta.

Atta has said in a statement that his brother was abducted on March 21 from his home in Hais area located in the far south of the port city of Hodeidah.

The fate of the brother and three others is still unknown and there is no information about their whereabouts, confirmed Belqees TV’s correspondent.

It is noteworthy that the Houthi militia and forces loyal to ousted president Saleh have put hundreds of journalists on wanted lists, and have already kidnapped dozens of them, most recently the journalist Taiseer Assamiee who has been abducted about two months ago in Taiz province.
