WJWC condemns threats of elimination against activist Mahroos
Women Journalists Without Chains (WJWC) decries the threats of physical elimination against the activist Mohammed Mahroos in Ibb governorate.
Mahroos was threatened by gunmen who are believed they are affiliated with the Houthi Movement.
Mahroos affirmed that he was threatened by six gunmen on a vehicle, pointing out that they came into his job office, pointing out that slogans of the Houthis Movement were on their rifles.
He explained that the gunmen were stopped by the guards of his job institution and they told the guards that they wanted to give a message to Mahroos that they would capture him even if he was in “ the bottom of the sea”.
WJWC demands the relevant authorities to investigate into the threats against Mahroos, protect him , hold the perpetrators accountable and bring them to justice.
