WJWC condemns storming into house of journalist, abducting father

Women Journalists Without Chains (WJWC) denounces the storming into the house of the correspondent of BilqeesAli Ja'abour and abduction of his father, 60 years old, who his health is deteriorated. He was taken into an unknown.

While WJWC demands to immediately release father of Jaabour, it holds the Houthi militias fully responsible for the safety of Jaabour's father.
WJWC considers what happened to Jaabour's father as a crime against humanity, denouncing ways of intimidations using against families of journalists and media practitioners.
It renews its demands to release all journalists who have been detained for more than a year and a half at the custodies of the Houthi militias.
WJWC calls local and human rights groups to denounce violations committed against journalists and media practitioners and put pressures on the militias to put an end to their continuing violations.
