WJWC condemns incitement made against Tawakkol Karman

Women Journalists Without Chains (WJWC) condemns the campaign of incitement and insults made by Saudi media outlets against the Nobel Prize laureate and Chairwoman of WJWC Tawakkol Karman.

Karman was subjected to incitement and insults due to her criticism against leaders of the Arab Coalition and the Yemeni legitimate government which have evaded their responsibilities for treating wounded persons.

WJWC decries the campaign carried out by Saudi newspapers and websites including OKaz and al-Weam newspapers, considering them an awfulridiculing ,and moral and professional free-fall.

WJWC considers this frenzied campaign against the symbol and inspirer of the Arab Spring revolutions is an evidence of real weakness and bankruptcy of the Arab Coalition led by Saudi Arabia due to its failure in treating the wounded.

These behaviors will not dissuade Karman from continuing her defending about human rights. Such acts will enhance her determination to stand by the victims everywhere.

WJWC holds the Arab Coalition led by Saudi Arabia fully responsible for incitement. It urges all rights group to denounce this provocation campaign against Tawakkol Karman.
