Ar WJWC condemns assault on deputy chief of YJS's branch in al-Hudeidah
Women Journalists Without Chains (WJWC) denounces the assault on deputy chief of the Yemeni Journalists Syndicate's branch in al-Hudeidah, Abdul-Hafeez Rashid al-Hatami, who also works as a reporter for Suhail TV.
Al-Hatami was attacked by a gang affiliated to Sheikh Mansour Sha'awah on Saturday and shot fire on while covering enforced deportation carried by a gang affiliated to Sha'awah in al-Tuhaita district, al-Hudeidah governorate.
WJWC demands the relevant authorities to arrest the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
It demands the Interior Ministry and the Human Rights Ministry to swiftly take necessary actions and arrest the defendant Mansour Sha'awah, his brother and the other members of the gang.
