WJWC, DIHR, five rights groups to hold conference on civil society freedom

Women Journalists Without Chains (WJWC) in collaboration with a number the Danish Institute for Human Right (DIHR), and other fiver rights groups will hold the Civil Society Freedom conference under the slogan of "Partners in development, partners in decision-making".

The Information and Qualification Center for Human Rights, the National Body for Defending Rights and Freedoms, the Yemeni Observatory for Human Rights and the Democratic School will also take part in the conference.
The conference will be held on February 2-4, 2008 and attended by representatives of civil society organizations, academics and activists of civil society organizations.
Foreign experts and representatives of donors in Yemen will take part in the meeting. They will discuss the difficulties faced by civil society organizations and their aspirations.
They will discuss international standards of civil society freedoms. They will also discuss a draft law of private associations and foundations which will guarantee support and extensive participation.
