Ar Women Journalists Without Chains denounces the murder of the journalist Abdullah Azizan, the correspondent of Marib Press news website. Azizan was killed while he was covering the battle in Baihan district of Shabwah governorate.
While WJWC expresses deep sorrow over the murder of Azizan, it renews its denial and condemnation over the targeting of journalists and media practitioners as they are performing their missions.
WJWC calls all parties of the conflicts to avoid targeting journalists and media practitioners. The crimes committed against journalists are not time-barred of prosecution.
WJWC extends condolences to the families of the journalist Azazan's family and to all his fellow colleagues.
