WJWC condemns execution of seven civilian in Ibb

Women Journalists Without Chains (WJWC) vividly condemns the crime of executing seven civilians in al-Naderah district of Ibb governorate by militias of the Houthis and Saleh on June 22, 2016.

The militias took the detainees handcuffed, directly shot fire on them and were executedin cold blood in front of the area's population.
WJWC decries this brutal crime against civilians, considering it a violation against human rights and an act which contradicts all humanitarian laws and Yemeni values and traditions.
While WJWC considers these acts a crime against humanity, it stresses the importance of bring the perpetrators into justice.
WJWC calls the UN Special Envoy to Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed to shoulder his responsibility towards this crime, form a UN committee to probe into this incident and others committed by the militias in Taiz and other governorates on a daily basis.
It also calls all interested human rights organizations to denounce this atrocious crime committed against civilians.
