Ar Women Journalists Without Chains (WJWC) calls the General People's Congress to give a number of governors seats for women in the indirect elections of governors which are set to be held on 17th of the upcoming month.
It urges GPC women leaders and women sector of GPC to put pressures on GPC leaders in order to give 15% of governors seats for women in the indirect elections of governors.
WJWC calls GPC to commit to its pledges andrecommendations it spoke about them during its seventh general congress.
WJWC affirms that Yemeni women will be disappointed if all governors will be men.
It affirms that the credibility of GPC at stake because it is the only party which has the ability to achieve this for women easily. So, it an overwhelming majority.
If GPC failed to fulfill its promises regarding supporting women and empowering them, otherwise women's trust on GPC will be undermined.
WJWC calls all activists, women leaders, local and international civil society organizations, journalists and activists to sustain women of GPC to implement this unprecedented achievement.
