Father in Ibb: My little daughter’s kidnappers are backed by Houthis

Almasdaronline- A father coming from Yemen’s central province of Ibb has confirmed that his daughter has been kidnapped for 35 days by influential men backed by militias belonging to Houthis and ousted president Ali Saleh in the province.

The girl’s father, Mohammed Abdullah al-Zouani, spoke to almasdaronline.net in a language filled with pain and agony due to abduction of his daughter Iman after leaving her school located in al-Jobjob area in Hazm al-Odain to the west of Ibb province on February 24.

“The kidnappers transferred my daughter on Wednesday to Dhamar province; to the Houthi leader’s home, Fadhl al-Mutta’a, as they told me,” said the father, adding that they have abducted his twelve-year-old child in order to marry her to an influential man largely supported the coup’s militants in the area.

The Court of First Instance in Hazm al-Odain had ruled that the lawsuit filed influential people to force the father to marry his daughter and that the little girl must return to her family. However, the sentence was not implemented.
