WJWC denounces the seizure of al-Zurqah in Sana'a Airport

Women Journalists Without Chains (WJWC) has denounced the seizure of the journalist Ahmed al-Zurqh, the director of al-Sahat TV by the National Security in Sana'a Airport.

WJWC expresses deep concern at abuses committed against journalists by the National Security at Sana'a Airport.
WJWC voices full solidarity with the journalist al-Zurqah, calling to halt harassments against journalists.
The National Security had seized al-Zurqah at Sana'a Airport and investigated into him in the wake of his visit to the Lebanese capital, Beirut.
Al-Zurqah said that he was investigated by a number of officers and was transferred from an office to another inside Sana'a Airport.
"Officers of the National Security told me that I am suspect, asked me about reasons behiind my travel to Beirut, inspected my bags and clothes and questioned me why I had some novels in my bags" he added.
