WJWC denounces abduction of WJWC’s cameraman

Women Journalists Without Chains (WJWC) condemns the enforced abduction and disappearance of Mohammed al-Muraisi while covering a sit-in of soldiers who were dismissed from their works during 2011 revolution.

An intelligence officer, Abbas al-Midhwahi, on Wednesday detained al-Muraisi, confiscated his camera and took him into an unknown destination. Al-Murisie was released hours after being abducted.
Intelligence services threw al-Muraisi to place around Sana’a City hours after being kidnapped.
WJWC affirms that the abduction of enforced disappearance of its cameraman is a ferocious violations against human rights and freedoms.
It demands Attorney General, Yemen Presidency, ministries of defense and justice to immediately investigate into this crime and hold the perpetrators accountable.
