Ar Women Journalists Without Chains (WJWC) decries the abduction of two journalists Yaseen al-Zikri and Ebraheem al-Ashamiri by tribesmen in the area of Habab in Marib governorate.
The journalists were taken into an unknown destination on May 15, 2013 in the area of Habab, Marib governorate, when they were heading to al-Mahrah governorate in a press mission.
While WJWC decries the incident, it believes that the attacks against journalists have largely intensified, without any intervention of the authorities to put an end to these savage violations.
WJWC demands the competent authorities, tribal leaders, figures and politicians in Marib governorate to immediately release the abducted journalists, arrest the perpetrators and prosecute them.
