WJWC condemns Houthi terrorist acts in Amran

Women Journalists Without Chains (WJWC) condemns terrorist and criminal acts committed by the Houthi Movement against people of Amran, and soldiers and officers of the army and security services.

The Houthi Movement also destroyed mosques and ransacked public and private properties.
The acts carried out by the Houthi Movement in Amran are terrorist and vicious amounting to crimes against humanity and a serious indication which threatens social peace and security.
WJWC stresses that these acts are a coup against the transition, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and partnership and reconciliation.
WJWC calls President Abd Rabu Mansour Hadi, Prime Minister and members of the interim government to shoulder their responsibilities toward the protection of the nation, demanding them to swiftly disarm the Houthi Movement and extend the reach of the Government on all the Yemeni soils.
It also calls the UN Security Council to take deterrent sanctions against the Houthi Movement under the Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter.
