Women Journalists Without Chains (WJWC) strongly condemns the brutal attacks committed by Houthis against peaceful protesters who oppose the Houthi coup at the Change Square in Sana'a City.

While WJWC decries these vicious acts, it stresses that they will not hinder youth from continuing their protests across all Yemeni governorates and rejects the takeover of the state by armed militias which disrupt security and stability.

The militias assaulted students of Sana'a University, detained them for about 20 days and then took them on vehicles into unknown destinations.

This arrogance and brutality practiced by Houthi militias against civilians will not bring them to their knees. They will also harden them and make them more rigid to protect their freedoms and dignity.
