The Women Journalists Without Chains (WJWC) strongly condemns the assault on journalist Noman Al-Asbahi and his detention without legal justification at the hands of security personnel in the al-Shamaitain District in Taiz Governorate, which constitutes a violation of the right to expression and an abuse of power.
While denouncing such illegal actions against journalist al-Asbahi for reasons related to his views and opinions, the WJWC calls for his immediate release and holds hose responsible for assaulting him and his freedom accountable.
Besides, the WJWC calls on human rights and civil organizations to stand in solidarity with journalist al-Asbahi and condemn the violation against him.
