WJWC condemns abduction of Asa'ad al-Emad

Women Journalists Without Chains (WJWC) condemns the abduction of the journalist Asa'ad al-Emad, an editor of Bawabat al-Yaman al-Ekhbaryah news website, by militias of the Houthis and Saleh. Al-Emad was taken from al-Saleh town in al-Huban, Taiz governorate.

While WJWC holds the militias of the Houthis and Saleh fully responsible for the safety of al-Emad, it demands to swiftly release him.

WJWC calls all civil society organizations and rights groups to condemns such detentions made against journalists and media practitioners while they are performing their media missions.
