Alrasefpress penetrated and hacked, Houthi-Saleh alliance accused

The news website alrasefpress.net has been penetrated and hacked by the Houthi militia and ousted president Ali Saleh, according to the website management.

In a statement issued today Sunday, the management stated, “to their surprise, they found out that the website had been penetrated and hacked into so that its whole content was deleted.

It has been not possible to access the site or publish any news items, and hackers published a news deceiving the website’s visitors that the website will shut down once and for all under the pretext that the country “has faced an aggression by the Saudi-led coalition along with his traitors”, explained the management in a press release.

The pretext, the statement added, implies that Houthis and their close ally Saleh have done the hacking.

The staff in charge of the news site confirmed that despite what has happened to the newly created site, but that will not deter them from playing their role in conveying the truth to the world no matter what the price, stressing that the site will resume its activity near future.

The statement also called on Yemeni Journalists' Syndicate (YJS) professional colleagues to show solidarity against this blatant assault against freedom of speech.
